Develop a Workable Blogging Schedule
One of the reasons that some people and companies have trouble when it comes to blogging is that they do not set up a scheduled day and time to post. Developing a schedule, and having some type of consequence for missing the scheduled post, can help bloggers stay on top of things. Having beautiful Premium wordpress themes and a couple of posts about you or your business every couple of months just isn’t going to do it. Yes, it can be difficult to make time. However, if you really want to find success – no matter the reason that you are blogging – then you need a plan.
Determine When to Post and How Often to Post
The first part of the plan involves determining how many posts you will want to make each week and when you want to make them. The number is going to vary based on quite a few things. What topics do you cover on the blog and how much could you write in a given week and still be able to provide fresh content? How much time do you have to dedicate to the blog each day or each week? Understanding these things will make it easier for you to determine your schedule.
In general, though, you are going to want to post to your blog at least once per week with a substantial post. You can always add another post or two if something exciting happens in your niche, but you want to make sure that you are posting at least one thing per week. Try to keep to posting on the same day each week, too.
Fitting it Into Your Life
If you are on your own, then you probably know that keeping up with a blog schedule can be hectic. Something that you might want to try is to write a few posts in advance and schedule them to go live in WordPress at different intervals. You could write a month’s worth of posts in a day and then set up your blog to post one a week. You can always go back and write additional posts when something comes up, but this ensures that you will hit the once per week mark.
Something else that you might want to do is work with some other writers on a group blog. You could either hire pro writers or find others who are into the same subject as you and work together. This reduces the workload on everyone. If you do this, though, you might want to let everyone have a say over the premium WordPress themes that you are going to be using.
