Most car dealerships advertise via newspaper ads, tv commercial spots and may even have their own website. One avenue of promotion that should not be left out of the mix is Twitter. 5% of consumers follow brands on Twitter which means that are missing out if you don’t have an account. Twitter also allows you to put a link back to your website which means more web traffic, exposure and potential sales leads. Curious as to what to Tweet? How about specials on used trucks and cars, community events or charities you may be involved with or even links to interesting articles and blog posts that you may feel offer something of value to your followers? Remember that Twitter is a tight-knit community so you won’t want to overdo it by constantly posting specials or links to new inventory. It’s easier to gain a large following if you Tweet responsibly.
